Duomatic chemical controllers are based on the latest microprocessor technology which means a technologically optimal solution. The Duomatic controllers will ensure a continuous supply of correct quantity of chemicals. The controllers may be used whereever a supply of chemicals is necessary for the purpose of achieving and maintaining a perfect desinfection in pools and spas or in any body of water.

Operating
In spite of the many advanced functions in the Duomatic controllers the operation is very simple and logical. The entire operation is done by means of only 4 or 5 (according to the model in question) waterproof foil-keys placed on the front panel. Measured values, setpoints, alarm limits, etc. are displayed in 12 mm digits.

Setpoints, alarm limits etc. can be seen by everyone but only the person who knows the encoded password is allowed to change anything. This prevents faulty operation by unauthorized persons.

Alarm Situations Any of the following occurrences will trigger the alarm:

  • The measured values are above or below the alarm limits
  • There is no flow in the probe cell where the electrodes are placed
  • The chemical container is empty
  • Dosing is switch to manual
  • The automatic selfmonitoring has found a defect in the device
  • Power supply fails
Electric bell, flash signal, supervision-systems etc. may be connected to the alarm output.

Dosing
Dosing is performed by means of a proportional regulation algorithm which will ensure a perfect water quality with a minimum use of chemicals. To ensure a constant pH-value the controllers are equipped with pH +/- correction which makes it possible both to lower and raise the pH-value.

Ordinary on/off-pumps, pulse pumps as well as solenoid valves can be connected to the pump outputs.

To prevent overdosing the Duomatic controllers are equipped with a special function that stops dosing pumps in case of faulty cells.

Extra Connections
The Duomatic controllers can be delivered with 0/4-20mA outputs for analog recorders, remote display etc.

A no-flow switch is installed in the probe cell. When this switch is connected to the Duomatic, the pumps will be stopped and the alarm triggered if, for some reason, the flow should be too low.

In the same way, the contents of the acid container is monitored in case a level switch is connected to the alarm input.

The Duomatic controllers can also be delivered with a data interface for communication with other data equipment as for example a printer, a PC, a modem, central supervision sytems, SO144 etc.

The Duomatic Range The Duomatic range consists of several models so that most needs of public, private and industrial clients can be met.

Duomatic DA402
The DA402 can controll and measure the pH-value, the free chlorine and the temperature. In addition the controller can be equipped with Redox-measurement. The optimal and universal solution for all kinds of swimming pools regardless of size, for public and private use.

The telecommunication system Duocom SO144 can be connected to the DA402.

Duomatic DA 302
This controller is like the DA402 apart from the fact that redox measurement is used instead of free chlorine measurement.

Duomatic DA535 CL
This model is used for the controlling and measuring of free chlorine and the temperature. The DA535 CL can be used together with e.g. the DA535 pH or with an existing pH(/redox) controller.

Duomatic DA 535 pH
This controller is like the DA 535 CL but is used for the measurement of the pH-value. The controller can be equipped with temperature measurement.

Chlorine Measuring Cell
Free chlorine measuring with an amperometric measuring cell. With the robust chlorine measuring cell you can achieve a relatively constant indication of the measured values at fluctuating pressure and flow.

The measuring range is 0-5 mg/l at 10-45 degrees centigrade. The chlorine measuring cell has an built-in thermal sensor which enables the controller to indicate the temperature of the water.

Probe Cell
The probe cell is made of clear acrylic and can be mounted on a wall or a board. It is also very compact and has a modern design. A flowmeter is built into the probe cell in order to monitor the flow and a needle valve ensures the correct flow.

Furthermore it is possible to install a flowalarm which activates a warning signal on the Duomatic controller if the flow gets too low.

Electrodes
The pH- and redox-electrodes used for the Duomatic controllers are of superior quality. Both kinds of electrodes are manufactured in glass and have a gel filling. The electrodes can mesure pH- and redox-values at a pressure of up to 6 bar and at temperatures of approximately -5 to +80 degrees Centigrade. Dimensions 12x120 mm. They are mounted through a PG 13,5 thread.

Telecommunications System SO144
The telecommunication system Duocom SO144 represents the latest technology in the field of monitoring and controlling. The system can monitor the chemical controllers Duomatic DA402 and DA302 and be used individually in many other situations.

The DUOCOM offers the advantages below:

  • The DUOCOM automatically calls you on the phone in case of errors and/or alarm
  • With a PC and a modem you can call the unit and see a list of the most recent alarms, make 24-hour reports, see the current situation etc.
  • Only the persons who know the encoded password can, without being present, command the equipment connected to the DUOCOM
  • With one Duocom it is possible to monitor and control up to four Duomatic controllers
Applications
The 14 inputs and 4 outputs enable you to monitor e.g. temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, burglar- and fire alarm, ventilation errors etc. The Duocom can also be used for measuring of electricity, water and gas consumption. Furthermore it is possible to remote control the equipment connected to the Duocom, as for example pumps, electrical heating systems, saunas, boilers etc.
